Top 10 Movies You Should Watch on an Airplane

Anyone who has ever flown in an airplane knows how boring it can be. This is why I made this post to introduce you to some of my favorite movies. Let’s get to the point! These are 10 movies that you can watch on an airplane to make your flight more enjoyable.

These are not the greatest movies. These are not the only movies that you should be watching on an airplane. This list is perfect for passing the time while you fly to your next holiday.

My favorite films are a mixture of drama, crime, adventure, and a bit of sci-fi. Sometimes, there’s even a lot of mystery. This is a diverse list of genres. However, I think I have a very varied taste.

I will add links to IMDb pages for every movie I list so you can go further and choose which movies you wish to see. IMDb is the best website to find information about films and television shows. Its design is simple and elegant.

Let’s get started without further delay! (wink)

Honourable mentions

  • Inception (2010)
  • Requiem For A Dream (2000)
  • Interstellar (2014)
  • Forrest Gump (1994).
  • Cicade de Deus (2002)
  • Se7en (1995)
  • American History X (1998)
  • Whiplash (2014)

10. Now You See Me (2013)

This movie features a wild cast. It stars Jesse Eisenberg and Morgan Freeman, Woody Harrelson and Michael Caine, among others. You don’t have to see this alone. Now You See Me tells the story of four illusionists who pull off insane heists live and officials trying to figure it out. There is also a sequel. However, I think the original is better as the concept was fresh.

9. The Game (1997)

Sean Penn and Michael Douglas are the most outstanding actors in this movie. Nicholas Van Orton is Douglas’ character. He is a wealthy banker. As a birthday gift, his brother presents him with a real-life experience. However, it doesn’t go according to plan. The movie’s story is fantastic, although I won’t spoil it for you.

It might seem odd that this movie was released before Y2K. But let me tell ya. It was a long time ago that some of the greatest movies in history were made. These classics are rare in contemporary cinema. The Game is one such classic.

8. Predestination (2014)

Predestination is one the most amazing films I’ve ever seen. It still amazes me, even after I’ve seen it three times. Again, I won’t spoil anything because that would be a waste of time. This movie is one you will not soon forget.

Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook give amazing performances. The story also features time travel, tracking criminals and an odd love story. These are all things you might be interested in, and you need to see it.

7. Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (2004)

Another great movie that stars Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. Elijah Wood, Mark Ruffalo, and Elijah Wood are also in the film. Carrey and Winslet portray a couple who have split. They decide to forget about one another and undergo a procedure to erase all their memories. But they quickly realize that this wasn’t the best decision.

The Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay was awarded to this movie. This should give you an idea of how great the story is. It’s fascinating to see Jim Carrey in a role unlike Ace Ventura or Dumb & Dumber.

6. Shutter Island (2010)

Another fantastic story with outstanding acting and an impressive cast. Leonardo DiCaprio (Mark Ruffalo), Ben Kingsley and Ben Kingsley give their best. The movie tells the story of a U.S. Marshal. It was released in 2010. The 1950s saw the arrival of the Marshal. He is sent to investigate the escape of a murder suspect from Guantanamo Bay, a prison for the criminally and clinically insane.

This is my favorite Leo performance. Shutter Island will tell you why, but I can assure you that it is worth the effort. It was also directed by Martin Scorsese.

5. La La Land (2016)

The Academy Award for Best Picture was held for just one minute by La La Land’s cast and crew. They had to give up the Oscar for Best Picture to Moonlight. This movie is a great film, aside from the unfortunate mix-up. It was one of the most anticipated movies of recent history, which only made it more enjoyable to actually see it.
