For spring break, beach destinations
Cabo San Lucas
It’s easy to see why everyone goes south, with a minimum drinking age of 18 years and stunning views. For music and drinks, you can head to Cabo Wabo and El Squid Roe.
Don’t worry if partying isn’t your thing. Spend your afternoons relaxing on the beach sipping margaritas or on a boat that cruises around the bay.
Make sure to get your roses ready! Famously, the Hamptons are known as the home of very wealthy second homes.
New Yorkers love to escape the city’s hustle and bustle. This isn’t the most affordable place to visit, but it’s a great spot to take a spring break if you have the budget.
An Airbnb is a great option for a group of friends traveling together. The Hamptons have some of the most beautiful beaches, including Sagg Main Beach, East Hampton Main Beach and Kirk Beach in Montauk.
Who doesn’t like the sun, the beach and Latin culture? If you are looking for a small piece of the Caribbean, Miami is a great option without the long flights and high prices.
Spring break is when the streets, especially Ocean Drive, turn into clubs. The beaches overflow with college students. For some tranquility, you can head to Hollywood or Aventura.
Lake Trips for Spring Break
Lake Tahoe is the ideal spring break destination for anyone looking to escape the beach and enjoy the snowcapped mountains of Lake Tahoe. Get your warmest jackets and winter boots on the slopes.
Renting a cabin with friends is a great option if you are on a budget. After a hard day of skiing, relax in the hot tub and enjoy a glass or two of wine.
Lake Powell, located on the border between Arizona and Utah is a great spring break destination. The lake is ideal for swimming and water sports, as it has a warm climate.
While you’re there, don’t forget about the Antelope Canyon, Rainbow Bridge, and Horseshoe Bend.
City Breaks for Spring Break
Las Vegas is a great place to spend spring break. You will find amazing shows, incredible museums, bars, clubs, casinos and pool parties.
There is something for everyone
Vancouver is the perfect place for those who want a less-stressful spring break. You can find amazing food in the cafes, beautiful forests, and even a beach if you’re lucky.
Ski Escapes for Spring Break
Aspen’s spring break is a great opportunity to enjoy the city’s amazing skiing and snowboarding conditions. You’ll find it less popular than Vail and other ski resorts, which makes it a great choice if you want a more relaxed atmosphere.
Enjoy your day on the slopes while sipping hot chocolate and Bailey’s!
Breckenridge is 2.5 hours from Aspen and boasts one of the longest ski seasons in the world. Five peaks are found on the resort, covering 2908 acres and 183 trails.
This is a great place for spring break snowboarding or skiing lessons!
Are you interested in skiing, snowboarding or spas? I’m in.
Whistler is the perfect place to go for a spring break ski vacation. Enjoy a stay at the Fairmont Chateau, and then relax in the 60-foot heated outdoor swimming pool with underwater music.
Global Brigades is about helping 100 Central American communities rise from global poverty. It was an amazing experience to be able to take part in the Honduran program that focused on clean water.
You can find information on the Global Brigades website, including a list of destinations visited and how you can become part of them.
All in all
There are many options when it comes time to choose where to spend spring vacation. However, you should plan your trip in advance.
You should allow yourself plenty of time to book your first hotel or lodging, and to find affordable airfare deals before the prices rise.
